Purpose:
To take the message of hope and the love of Jesus Christ beyond
the four walls of the church.
Vision:
To see the unreached, the unchurched, and the backslidden
presented with the gospel of Jesus Christ in their own language
and on their own turf.
Through
our Outreach Programs we seek to impact our community with the
gospel of Jesus Christ. Part of what sets Solid Rock apart is
our heart for evangelism, our love for the lost, and our
compassion for the poor. We believe God's command was firm when
He said, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and
faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their
distress..."
Here's
a list of our regular yearly outreaches:
Block
Parties: Outdoor event with preaching, live music and
drama, free food, carnival games, bounce houses and candy for
the kids, free bike repair, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
Usually 4 events scheduled from May through August.

HOLYween:
Every Halloween we turn our building into an indoor block party.
There has been anywhere from 500-2000 people at this event!
Every floor is covered with games and enough candy to make a
dentist go insane.
October 31st @ Vision Ministries.
Give-a-way:
All donated items of clothing, furniture, etc. are given away in the community centers at local low-income
housing sites.
Check the calendar for dates.
Sidewalk
Sunday School: Portable sound systems, candy, and
games turn the local parks into church for neighborhood kids.
During the Summer Months, 3-4 Times per Week.
Love-In-Action:
Monthly grocery give-away. Participants must come before service
to register and receive their boxes after the altar call is
finished.
3rd Sunday of Every Month.
Short-Term
Missions: An incredible ministry opportunity for
children's, youth, or college age groups to come to a different
culture to reach the lost.
For
$15 per day groups receive housing, meals, showers, and
incredible opportunities for evangelism and outreach.
