Internship
Solid Rock offers a summer internship for college-age students who are passionate about reaching the lost. We provide housing, minimal compensation, and a ministry itinerary that’s pretty rigorous.

Duration: 8 weeks
Start Date: beginning of June
End Date: end of July

Requirements: College-age, heart for ministry, no other summer commitments, willing to try anything. 

Ministry Opportunities: Preaching, drama, worship ministry, street evangelism, youth ministry, children’s ministry, physical labor, creative writing for curriculum, camp counselor, leadership of mission’s teams etc.

Children's Ministry We are always looking for those who understand the importance of our children fulfilling the four primary life ambitions, and who are willing to help make it happen in one of the following ways:

VOLUNTEERS:

Craft Team volunteers meet one afternoon each month to prepare and assimilate the children’s craft packets for the upcoming month.

Assistant Teachers come alongside a head teacher and offer much needed one-on-one attention to children in a large group setting. Never underestimate the effectiveness of (even quiet) adult presence and attention.

Registration Team volunteers help keep our records up-to-date, and welcome new children to our ministry. Their responsibility is to work for approximately 30-40 minutes at the beginning of their assigned service welcoming children, recording their attendance, and meeting new parents with a positive spirit.

Public Relations Team volunteers do Care Calling for our children throughout the week, as well as sending out birthday cards, miss-you cards, doing visitation, etc. 

Prayer Team volunteers consistently keep the names and needs of our children before the throne of God, lifting them up in prayer in their personal quiet times.

PRIZES/MATERIALS: We are always looking to enhance—not only our children’s program time—but also their homes, with materials that will promote Christ. Therefore, we are forever in need of Christian videos and t-shirts, Children’s Bibles, etc. Because each unit focuses on a different aspect of our children’s walk with God, for more specific prize and material needs, please contact Shannon at the church office.
